On October 18th Lara’s rich voice and sensitive music will be heard in Old Martina’s Hall. Generations of performers have graced this space. The upscale menu with daily seafood specialties is gaining in popularity. The special buffet dinner and dancing together with the gracious surroundings will combine for an unforgettable evening.
Lara will be joined onstage by Jefferson Voorhees, a wildly creative percussive force who performs on his own self-designed, custom drum kit. On upright and electric bass will be Terry Bluhm of the Adobe Brothers and Bayou Seco, laying in his own energetic instrumentals with the group on everything from old-style rock and roll to New Mexican ranchera polkas, waltzes and two-steps, and cumbia rhythms. It will be a night of both fresh original music and well-loved canciones from Lara’s northern New Mexico childhood.
